For someone with ten thousand things going on a once, it would be impossible to post to the blog, Facebook, Twitter etc. and still have time to breathe. Thankfully there are ways to link these accounts. As I study how to get the word out about my upcoming book “Touch of the Man,” I have found a few things that work better than others regarding linking to social media: 1) Don’t try to sign up on Facebook using the name of your organization or book. You have to use your personal name and then make a Fan Page. Many months of wasted time there: Take that advice and save yourself alot of headaches. 2) Don’t make your Fan Page your main page or “hub.” Get a WordPress blog for that. 3) I just decided to change the name of my blog from “blog” (very exciting and unique!) to the book name, “touch-of-the-man” (much better). Not sure if that will help search engines find it. After making the changes the wrong way and getting locked out of my whole WP dashboard, I was rescued by the incredibly prompt tech support at my host www.ivycat.com.
